Ribeiro (Manuel)

He was born in Lisbon on August 31, 1861, but has lived in Funchal since childhood. He has collaborated in different newspapers and is a deserving poet, being the author of the following booklets: Flores Agrestes, Funchal, 1903, 67 pages; Pyrilampos, Funchal, 1905, 56 pages; Outomnaes, Funchal, 1910, 55 pages; and Poentes, Funchal, 1913, 96 pages. The true name of this poet is Mardónio da Câmara; Manuel Ribeiro is just a pseudonym that he adopted for all his literary productions.
