We have knowledge of the following, all headquartered in Funchal:

Associação Comercial. It was founded in 1835 by the merchant João Shortridge, had its first statutes approved on March 12, 1836, and is currently governed by new statutes, approved on May 11, 1888.

Ateneu Comercial do Funchal. Its statutes were approved by decree on December 22, 1899, and it was established on December 8, 1898.

Gremio dos Empregados do Comercio Funchalense. Founded on January 6, 1908, and has statutes approved by decree on February 17, 1912.
