Real (Praça)

During the government of D. Miguel, the Constitution Square or public promenade, which now forms part of Avenida do Dr. Manuel de Arriaga, was named 'Praça Real'. It was in Praça Real that the troops gathered for parades on festive days and for the solemnities that took place during the usurpation period.
