The following notes gather information about various processions, some that have ceased to take place, others that still take place, but with a different ceremony from the old one. It is curious to note that, in the times of absolutism, the corregidor and the judge received bribes for the processions that took place in the city, a custom that disappeared, as we believe, with the establishment of the constitutional government on this island.
