Prim Garibaldi e Costa (João)

He was born in the parish of Porto do Moniz on August 31, 1867, the son of António Tolentino da Costa and D. Romana Augusta de Coito e Costa. For several years, he was the administrator of the municipality of the same name and currently holds the position of chief of the respective telegraph-postal station. He collaborated in some newspapers in Funchal and had a special and regular collaboration in Brado de Oeste, published in the town of Ponta do Sol. As the president of the Recreational Association Porto-Monizense, he delivered a speech there, which was published in a booklet in this city, titled Conference and dedicated to Counselor José Leite Monteiro (1921).
