Poço Novo (Rua do )

An old name for the street that is now called Rua dos Tanoeiros. 'Frutuoso' mentions this street of the Merchants, in addition to the Main Street, as another not so long, with other smaller shops, such as fruit, linen cloth, and fancy goods that come from outside, at the end of which is a well, which is why it is called Rua do Poço Novo.
