Pimenta de Aguiar (Rua)

It is the public road that connects Rua da Carreira or Dr. Vieira with Rua das Cruzes or João Joaquim de Freitas, having received the name by which it is known and which represents a tribute to the poet Manuel Caetano Pimenta de Aguiar, in a council session on October 24, 1895.

The Madeiran poet Manuel Caetano Pimenta de Aguiar resided in front of Rua da Bela Vista, in the building that today belongs to the heirs of councilor Manuel José Vieira (1921).
