Perestrelo (Bartolomeu)

He was the son of the previous and was the third lord of Porto Santo. He married Aldonça Delgado, daughter of Garcia Rodrigues da Camara, whom he killed in order to marry D. Solanda, sister of Tristão Teixeira das Damas. Because of this crime, he was in hiding, but in the end 'obtained forgiveness from the parties and went to seek refuge in the Kingdom.' He died in the Algarve at the age of 60. A son of this Bartolomeu Perestrelo, named Garcia Perestrelo, also killed his wife and was beheaded for this reason.
