Pereira da Silva (Manuel)

He was born in Madeira on September 5, 1862, and is an infantry officer, having served for some time in the former municipal guard. He holds the rank of Knight of the Legion of Honor of France. He published his speech entitled 'The Preparation for War' and another one delivered at the ceremony of presenting the national flag to the recruits of the 12th and 34th infantry regiments, under the military command of Guarda (1921).
