Perdigão (Dr. Jacinto António)

He held the position of general secretary of the district when, by decree of July 1, 1863, he was appointed effective Civil Governor, a position he had previously held on an interim basis. He took office on the 17th of the mentioned month and year. Among the reports he wrote as Civil Governor, the one he presented to the General Assembly in the ordinary session of 1864 stands out, being a truly remarkable work that can still be read with profit. Jacinto Perdigão was a distinguished jurist, having published some valuable works.
