Arnao

The surname Arnao or Arnau seems to come from the Englishman Guilherme Arnau, who in 1378 accompanied D. Filipa de Lencastre to Portugal, the wife of D. João I. However, it is not known when this surname appeared in Madeira, and it is believed to be completely extinct among us.
