Nossa Senhora das Angústias (Capela de)

In the parish of São Pedro, in the place that gave it its name, Diogo da Costa de Quintal built a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora das Angústias in 1662. There is the estate of Nossa Senhora das Angústias, better known by the name of Quinta Lambert, which has a chapel of this invocation, which may be the reconstruction of the old chapel in that place. In this estate, Princess D. Maria Amélia resided, and she died there on February 4, 1853.
