North of the Island / Norte da Ilha

The term "North of the Island" generally refers to the northern coast of Madeira, which extends from Ponta do Tristão to Ponta de São Lourenço, from the parish of Achadas da Cruz to the parish of Porto da Cruz, encompassing all the parishes of the municipalities of Porto do Moniz, São Vicente, and Santana, as well as the parish of Porto da Cruz in the municipality of Machico.
