Museu do Liceu

In the school building, there is a small museum for the instruction of the students of the establishment, where, in addition to a collection of conchological and mineralogical specimens, there is a seal and some birds, fish, and botanical specimens. These natural history objects were acquired in 1913 and 1914, thanks to the efforts of Major Alberto Artur Sarmento, a distinguished natural sciences professor. Before that, there were some zoological specimens in the school, the state of conservation of which was not good about 40 years ago (1921).
