Murganho (Mus Musculus)
A small rodent mammal very common in Madeira, but not indigenous. It multiplies very easily and feeds on anything it finds. It gnaws on floors and doors, and sometimes opens extensive galleries inside houses.

Barley Smut (Ustilago Hordei).
A smut that attacks and destroys barley grain, and whose spores give this grain a carbonaceous appearance. It appears in S. Gonçalo and in other parts of Madeira.
