Mota Prego (João da)

An agronomist who resided for some time in Funchal. He wrote a valuable article about the agriculture, industry, and commerce of Madeira and Porto Santo, in vol. I, pages 377 to 400, of 'Notas sobre Portugal' (Notes on Portugal), a book that was exhibited at the National Exhibition of Rio de Janeiro in 1908.
