Monumento ao Sagrado Coração de Jesus

Counselor Aires de Ornelas de Vasconcelos erected a monument in praise of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Ponta do Garajau, on a small hill overlooking the sea at the western end of his lands in the parish of Caniço. The inauguration and blessing of the sacred image were carried out with great solemnity on October 30, 1927.
