México (Imperatriz do)

Empress Carlota visited Madeira, accompanied by her husband Emperor Maximilian, in April 1864, while en route to Mexico aboard the Novara, having spent some time on this island a few years earlier, when she arrived in December 1859, accompanied by her husband.

As Cesar Cantu mentions in Ultimos trinta anos, Empress Carlota wrote a work entitled Um inverno na Madeira.
