Half (Vale da) / Metade (Vale da)

This large valley, seen from the viewpoint built by the Directorate of Public Works, on the Juncal levada, constitutes one of the most vast and majestic panoramas in the interior of Madeira. At the top of the valley, the Ruivo and das Torres peaks, the highest in the island, can be seen, and on its steep banks, in many places covered with trees, many of the most beautiful and rare plants of Madeira thrive. The viewpoint of the Juncal levada is about 15 kilometers from Funchal.
