Mesquita

This family name comes from Pedro Ferreira de Mesquita, who in 1662 lived in Ponta do Sol and founded the chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Milagres there, and from a certain António de Mesquita, a native of Malhorca, who, for reasons unknown to us, came to this island.
