Mentastro

Common name for Cedronella triphylla, Mentha aquatica, and M. rotundifolia, plants of the Labiatae family. The latter species, distinguished by its strong and unpleasant smell and its reticulated-rugose, crenate leaves, is found in riverbeds and near the levadas.
