Meneses (Jorge Martins de Sousa e)

This Governor and Captain-General of Madeira was appointed on June 1, 1718, and took office on October 5 of the same year. He distinguished himself in India as a military man and showed great valor in the War of the Spanish Succession. He died on January 24, 1728.
