Medina e Vasconcelos (Sérvulo de Paula)
He was the son of the Madeiran poet Francisco de Paula Medina e Vasconcelos, born in Funchal around 1822, and was a civil servant for the Cape Verde islands, with Governor D. José Miguel de Noronha, in 1845, where he died around 1854. In 1845, he published a drama entitled Amor e Pátria in Funchal, which was performed in this city at the Concordia theater in August 1844. He was the editor of "Beija-Flôr" and by 1851, he was the editor of "Boletim Official" in Cape Verde, where he published the novel "Um filho chorado".
