Martins (Dr. João Augusto)

A military doctor in the Overseas cadre, already deceased. He was a native of Cape Verde and had graduated from the Medical School of Lisbon. Works: 'Madeira and its climate,' Lisbon, 1901, 10 pages, and 'Madeira, Cape Verde and Guinea,' Lisbon, 1891, 271 pages. This latter work is recommended for the correctness, elegance, and spontaneous grace with which it is written.
