The article on Climate indicates the authors of various publications about the climate of this island, and it should be mentioned here the most recent and comprehensive study on this subject, entitled "Le Climat de Madère" by Admiral Hugo de Lacerda, published in 1936 by the General Board of the District, and of which an English translation was made with the title "The Climate of Madeira", published in 1938.
