Losna (Artemisia argentea)

An indigenous composite plant, with woody stems, whitish leaves, 1-2-pinnatisect, with very narrow segments, and small capitula, forming a panicle. It is cultivated in vegetable gardens and gardens, and is found spontaneously in Ponta do Sol, Calheta, and Porto Santo. Although the people of Madeira only use it as an emmenagogue, it can also be useful as a tonic and vermifuge.
