Livramento

A populated place in the parish of Monte. The name comes from the chapel dedicated to N. S. do Livramento, which was built by Inácio Ferreira Pinto in 1684 and rebuilt a century later by João José Bettencourt de Freitas, being of vincular institution. In the same place, there is a chapel consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, built a few years ago by Father Jorge de Faria e Castro.
