Lentil (Lens culinaris) / Lentilha (Lens culinaris)

A leguminous plant frequently cultivated in Porto Santo and also found in Caniçal. The lentil cultivated in Caniço is the Vicia monanthos, which has 3-4-seeded pods, as opposed to the 2-seeded pods of the lentil from Porto Santo.
