Lamaceiros

Several places in Madeira are known by this name, but the most worthy of being visited is the one located in the parish of Santo da Serra.## The Lamaceiros site in Porto Moniz is also worth visiting. From some peaks nearby, a part of Ribeira da Janela can be seen. There is a chapel there dedicated to São Pedro, which was heavily damaged by the earthquake of 1748 and shortly afterwards rebuilt, having been restored again a few years ago.
