Lafões (Duque de)

Queen D. Maria I, styling herself as 'governor and perpetual administrator of the knighthood of the Order of Our Lord Jesus Christ,' granted her uncle D. João de Bragança, Duke of Lafões, the commandery of the islands Terceira, Madeira, and S. Miguel, of the said order, with the Municipal Chamber of Funchal taking note of this grant, which was ordered to be registered in the appropriate book on May 15, 1784.
