Isca (Phagnalon saxatile)

A small subshrub of the Compositae family, very common in all the islands of the archipelago. With its branches, a very ordinary bait is made in Porto Santo, but it is quite used by the inhabitants of that island, especially the fishermen.

In other times, a lot of bait was also made from Phagnalon in Madeira, and many people still know the applications that this plant can have.
