Guelro (Atherina presbyter)

Small fish of the Aterinidae family, common in the seas of the archipelago. During the calm season, it forms dense shoals in the coastal waters and pools of the coast. It is a tasty fish but rarely appears in the market, as fishermen usually use it as bait. Its main application is in the fishing of gaiado.
