Garnier (Dr. P.)
French doctor who published in 1858 a translation of Dr. Barral's work on the climate of Madeira. This translation is titled Le Climat de Madère et son influence thérapeutique sur la phthisie pulmonaire, and several important changes were introduced with the author's consent.
Dr. Garnier, who visited Madeira at the end of October 1850, also wrote a pamphlet titled: Itinéraire de Paris à Madère (Union Médicale, October, 1859).
