Almas (Capelas das)
In the parish of Ribeira Brava, in a location that is now unknown, the cooper Antonio Rodrigues Jardim founded a small chapel dedicated to the Souls of Purgatory in the year 1652.
In the location of Vargem in the parish of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, there is a chapel with the same invocation, but the founder and year of construction are unknown.
There is a chapel of Almas in the parish of Calheta, with no further details known about it.
Around 1710, the people built a small chapel of Almas in the churchyard of the parish church of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, which was later demolished.
Adjacent to the parish church of Ponta do Sol, a chapel of the same invocation was built, which was ordered to be demolished by the Municipal Council around 1925 to widen the street of Dr. João Augusto Teixeira.
