Gamboa e Liz (António de)

(António de) . He was appointed Civil Governor of this district by decree of December 7, 1835, and took office on May 14 of the following year. During his term, the position of district chief came to be known as General Administrator, being the first to hold this position among us. In 1838, the Municipal Council of Funchal sent a representation to the mainland government against the mismanagement of this governor. He was born in Arruda dos Vinhos on January 10, 1778, and died on March 26, 1870.
