There is an annual ecclesiastical calendar exclusive to this diocese, intended for the guidance of priests in the recitation of the divine office, celebration of the mass, indication of feasts, etc. It has been printed in Coimbra for many years. Dr. Antonio Rodrigues Porfirio Ribeiro de Vasconcelos, a distinguished theology professor at the University of Coimbra, was the calendarist of this diocese. The oldest known printed almanac of this diocese is from 1858. Since 1927, the Almanach Ecclesiasticum has been edited by Father José Augusto Rodrigues Amado.
