Collected some algae on the beaches and sea rocks of Madeira and Deserta Grande on August 11 and 12, 1911. Ref.: Algues provenant des campagnes de l'Hirondelle II–1911 à 1912 (Bulletin de l'Institut Océanographique, no. 279, January 1914, Monaco). Also studied the algae of Selvagens.
