Figueira (Padre Antonio da Silva)

He was born in the parish of Arco da Calheta on June 13, 1887. After attending the Seminary of this diocese, he was ordained as a priest in the diocese of Portalegre in November 1912, and has served as a parish priest in several parishes on this island. In addition to various collaborations, in prose and verse, in some newspapers, he published a volume of poetry in 1914 entitled Columbario, with 89 pages.
