Feijoa
The common name in Madeira for Phaseolus multiflorus, a leguminous plant originating from tropical America. The feijoa is mainly cultivated in Monte and Camacha, where its roots, it is said, last for 7 years. Its seeds are 20 to 30 millimeters long by 12 to 16 wide, and its pods are pubescent, especially when young, and falcate or slightly curved.
