Fajã do Penedo

A populated place in the parish of Boaventura. There was a small chapel dedicated to Sant'Ana, built in 1768 by the landowner Antonio Francisco de Caires, which was demolished shortly after 1840. D. Maria dos Anjos Ribeiro built a chapel dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at this site in 1919.
