Elder (Sambucus Ebulus) / Engos (Sambucus Ebulus)

A plant from the Caprifoliaceae family, found in Ponta do Pargo, Porto Novo, Funchal, etc. It has leaves with an unpleasant smell, imparipinnately compound, with oblong-lanceolate, serrated segments, and white or reddish flowers, with purple anthers. The crushed leaves of this plant are used in the treatment of bruises.
