Diabelha (Plantago Coronopus)
A plant of the Plantaginaceae family, common in Madeira, Porto Santo, and Desertas. Its leaves are arranged in a rosette, elongated, hairy or almost glabrous, usually 1-2-pinnate, and the spikes are narrow, with basal peduncles. The infusion of its leaves is used for gargling in throat ailments. The name diabelha is better known in Porto Santo than in Madeira.
