Desembarcadouro

On a small protrusion of the coastal area, west of the beach and cove of Machico, there is a place that bears that name, and tradition affirms that it was the point where the first discoverers or colonizers of Madeira landed. It would be fitting to erect a small monument there, commemorating the historical fact of the discovery or the beginning of the colonization of Madeira.
