Dendrites

Infiltrations, usually of manganese and iron salts, found inside lamellar fracture rocks, with the appearance of pressed algae and mosses and a dark color. They are common in the trachytes of Serra de Nossa Senhora, in Pôrto Santo, and rare in the basaltic slabs of S. Martinho.
