Delgado

This family name comes from Pedro Delgado, known as the Nabo, who, according to Dr. Azevedo, married Isabel Fernandes, the Velha da Serra, both of noble birth from the town of Arruda in Portugal. They were among the first settlers of the island of Madeira and had a land grant in Ponta do Sol, apparently in Lombo das Adegas.
