Corals / Corais

Coral or coral tree is the designation for various zoophytes from the seas of Madeira, among which we mention Dendrophyllea ramea or red coral, Acanthagorgia Grayi or black coral, and Hemicorallium Johnsoni or white coral.

The corals from Madeira are well represented in the British Museum, the Liverpool Museum, and the Museum of the Seminary of Funchal.
