Snipefish, a small fish of no commercial value that appears in large numbers on the Porto Santo beach in strong offshore winds.
A small fish of the family Centriscidae, of no commercial value whatsoever. When a strong wind blows from the open sea, it appears in great numbers on the beach of the island of Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’).
