Former Funchal office handling estates of the dead and absent; its last registered holder was corregedor José Caetano de Paiva Pereira, appointed 1804.
This office once existed in Funchal. The last superintendent (provedor) whose letter of appointment is registered in the books of the Municipal Council was the corregedor (royal district magistrate) José Caetano de Paiva Pereira, appointed in 1804.
