Brief note on the anthropometric identification post set up in the Funchal district court, which was still operating in 1915.
When Dr Joaquim Crisóstomo da Silveira was representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministério Público) in Funchal, an anthropometric post was installed in the court of the judicial district (comarca). It still existed in 1915, for on 22 July of that year the Municipal Council (Câmara Municipal) resolved to provide it with various items of furniture that it needed.
