Pinheirinho (Equisetum maximum)
A giant horsetail found in damp places in São Vicente and São Roque, whose infusion is diuretic.
A member of the Equisetaceae, easily recognised by its white stems, its sheaths with 20 to 40 teeth and the whorled branches of its sterile stems (20 to 40 in each whorl). It grows in damp places in São Vicente, São Roque, etc. An infusion of this cryptogam has diuretic properties.
